Sansevieria masoniana Variegated Whale Fin is a very popular and rare plant. In the Snake Plant or Mothers in Law Tongue family it produces much wider and squatter leaves that resemble a whale fin. Hence its name Whale Fin Sansevieria. Our plants are variegated and may have one or two leaves in a pot. The variegation is different on each leaf produced by the plant and adds to its interest. The variegated form is much rarer than the traditional green form as it can only been grown from devisions of the rhizomes.
