Tacca chantrieri Black Bat Plant

Tacca chantrieri Black Bat Plant is an unusual but striking flowering plant in the Yam family. It produces very large and bizarre jet black flowers which can appear on the plant any time from spring through to winter. They generally flower over a long period for us in the nursery. 

Tacca chantrieri Black Bat Plant is a true shade lover. Looking its best in shade or dappled light. Though it can take some direct morning or late afternoon sun. They love a good soil with plenty of compost, but still well drained. Fertilise regularly for large glossy lush green leaves and beautiful big flowers. They love humidity so plant them in an environment with other plants. They suffer few pests or diseases, but keep them well protected from any frosts.
