Curry Leaf Murraya koenigii
Curry leaf is one ingredient synonymous with the region it is from. The traditional spice is a signature flavour from South India. And is an essential ingredient in curries, dals and soups. Curry leaf are the leaves of Murraya koenigii. And the leaves of this plant are used fresh or dried or ground into a spice. They have a pungent currey like fragrance when picked or rubbed. But are not a dominant taste in cooking, but their subtle flavor is unmistakable, giving meals a richer, robust flavor. This tree is native to India, and its leaves are used for both medicinal and culinary applications. They're highly aromatic and have a unique flavor with notes of citrus.
Easy to grow, they will do well in pots or in the garden and love a sunny warm spot. The bulk of their growth occurs over the warmer months. A regular water and regular feed in these months will get them growing quickly.
Our plants are currently available in 140mm pots. They are currently on the smaller size, but very healthy and just tarting to burst into their spring/summer growth.
