Phyllodium pulchellum Pangolin Plant is a stunning shrub. It produces showy flowers that are said to resemble a pangolin or pangolin scales. These scaly looking bracts are green with bronze and are protective bracts that cover clusters of creamy white pea like flowers. Growing to 1.5 to 1.8m high it makes a fantastic specimen plant with a beautiful weeping habit. Grows pest in part sun / part shade in a position with some protection from frosts. This plant is tropical but grows well in our temperate climate of Sydney. It can be evergreen in warmer climes, or deciduous in cooler areas.
