Prostanthera scutellariodes NSW Mint Bush
Prostanthera scutellariodes NSW Mint Bush
Prostanthera scutellariodes NSW Mint Bush is a native to Eastern NSW and south East Queensland. It was once common through Sydney and Western Sydney. But is sadly disappearing due to urban sprawl. And is known locally as NSW Mint Bush after the minty smell of its foliage. It makes a beautiful small shrub, rarely exceeding 1-1.5m in height. It produces masses of flowers in a purple mauve through spring and summer. But can flower intermittently throughout the year.
It loves a well drained soil. In part sun to full sun. And is a beautiful decorative shrub for the native gardener. They respond well to a fertilise with a native plant food such as Native Blend our rock mineral based food.
We have beautiful plants in 140mm pots.
