The magnificent King Protea has the largest of all protea flowers. Reaching the size of a large dinner plate. King Pink is a stunning soft pink protea. With a soft feather silver pink centre to the flowers. It makes a wonderful garden plant or pot plant (if kept well pruned). And a fantastic cut flower protea. Flowering for months through Spring and into Summer. King Pink provides masses of large flowers about the size of a large dinner plate. And is a small shrub reaching 1.5m H x 1.5m W. The lush green foliage offsets the silver pink flowers beautifully. A real stunner in a pot or in the garden. It benefits from a harder prune after flowering which maintains the plants shape and size. It tolerates light frosts and costal conditions. It loves full sun in a well drained soil. Water well to establish, but once established King Protea have a low water requirement.

Proteas are sensitive to Phosphorous in fertiliser. For best results we recommend using Garden Delight Rock Minerals at planting and in place of a fertiliser.
