The elegant and exotic deep plum red flowers of this dwarf protea hang like bells from its lush green ferny foliage. It flowers through autumn, winter and spring for us in the nursery. Attracting many of our native nectar feeding birds with its beautiful flowers. This little South African native produces a number of flushes of flowers through this period. And it is a much smaller grower than other proteas. Only growing to approx 1m x 1m. Its compact sizes makes it perfect for pots and small spaces in the garden. It loves full sun, and likes a regular water preferring conditions that are not too dry. And can tolerate moderate frosts.

It makes a perfect pot specimen where the bell shaped flowers can be admired up close and personal.

We have beautiful specimens available in 200mm and 140mm pots. They are all grafted to provide vigorous strong plants. And are all flowering age, but may or may not have flower buds currently.
