Strawberry Pineberry - Pineapple Strawberry
The Pineapple Strawberry or Pineberry is vigorous white form of strawberry plant.
These plants are a cross between our red strawberry and a white Chilean Strawberry. They produce tasty whites strawberry with a pink blush when ripe. The small to medium sized berries taste like a strawberry, but have a beautiful pineapple like fragrance! Hence the name Pineapple Strawberry. They are easy to grow. And do fantastically in pots or the veggie patch. But be warned… they do run and can spread over a large space in the garden under good conditions.
Pineapple Strawberry plants are not self-fertile. Plant them next to a traditional red strawberry for cross-pollination.
Best grown in full sun, but can tolerate part shade. They love moist, well drained soil. They grow to about 30cm tall. Feed regularly with a good liquid fertiliser such as BioGuano. Add manure and compost at planting - they love it!
Please note: as our plants are actively growing, their size, colour and shape might vary at time of ordering to our picture depending on season.
