Leucadendron argenteum Silver Tree
Leucadendron Silver Tree is a fast growing small tree with year round spectacular silver foliage. Endangered in the wild, it comes from South Africa and is found around the city of Cape Town. It loves a full sun position, and regular water, and a well drained soil. It grows in pots and can be pruned to shape or size. Its silver forage is reflective and provides a startling contrast in the garden. Ideal for cut flowers and cut foliage . And a superb plant in the home garden or in a pot. It tolerates light frosts. But protect from heavier forests.
If unpruned it will reach 10m tall x 4m wide. But can easily be pruned to maintain a small shrub 1-2m high by the same wide.
